TP Secretaries is part of the Ten-Percent Group of Legal Recruitment Websites. We specialise in recruitment services for solicitors and legal support staff including legal secretaries, legal cashiers, office managers, practice managers and support staff. Ten-Percent.co.uk Limited was formed in 2000 by 3 lawyers and a doctor. One of the directors had been through the recruitment process, and discovered that there was a gap in the market for an online legal recruitment company offering a low cost, fast, hassle-free service for both candidates and clients. Ten-Percent Legal Recruitment was formed, and TP Secretaries established not long afterwards.
We decided to call ourselves Ten-Percent on the basis that we uniquely donate 10% of our annual profits to charity, and since 2000 we have gone on to donate many £000’s to a range of charitable causes via the Ten-Percent Foundation.
Whilst as a company we handle vacancies for solicitors, legal executives, secretaries, paralegals, managers and legal cashiers, we have a specialist recruitment consultant responsible for our permanent legal secretary, legal cashier, PA and career paralegal vacancies. Peter Gresty Cert RP MIRP is a recruitment consultant with over 8 years experience handling legal secretary vacancies and has a good track record in filling vacancies posted with us.

How we work
We are already aware of a lot of vacancies and seek out new positions all the time. When you register with us, we let the firms in the area you seek employment know that we have a candidate looking for a particular type of work, and give them a reference number. If interested, they contact us, and we let you know the firm’s details. If you are interested, we contact the firm and arrange an interview for you, letting the firm know your name at that point.
We do not send out personal details, and never identify you prior to you giving us consent to reveal your name to firms. We spend a lot of time recruiting in London and the South East, but are also successful in the regions.
We are different because
1. We do not pressure you into accepting positions or interviews, but instead make you aware of the opportunity to speak to interested firms.
2. We do not have a quota of CV’s to send out, there are no targets for us to reach, we do not employ salespeople to “sell” candidates, and we are pleased for you regardless of how you obtain work (ie with or without our services).
3. We do not telephone you constantly, bombard you with emails or turn up on your doorstep! We will contact you by email and text with new vacancies and a monthly newsletter, and apart from chasing for interview feedback we do not make it a habit to harrass candidates.

Peter Gresty CertRP MIRP is an experienced legal recruitment consultant handling permanent legal secretary, legal cashier, PA, managerial and support staff vacancies across the UK. Pete has been with Ten-Percent Legal since 2007 and has worked with law firms from sole practitioners through to large regional solicitors firms. Despite supporting Manchester City he is extremely nice.
Jonathan Fagan LLM, LLB (EU), Cert RP, MAC, MIRP is a solicitor (non-practising) and Managing Director of Ten-Percent.co.uk Limited. He studied law at Leicester University and Frankfurt University before training with a small high street practice in Leicester. On qualification he worked for a Chambers-listed firm in Nottingham, before taking a full time role in Ten-Percent Legal. He has assisted many solicitors and legal executives find new posts across the UK and is well known in the legal recruitment world. He also deals with all locum assignments within the Ten-Percent group, both for Interim Lawyers and for Ten-Percent.
Clare Fagan CertRP MIRP is a Director and Recruitment Consultant handling permanent vacancies for our Ten-Percent Unlimited member law firms. Clare also assists with the management and strategic development of the company.
Pearl McNamara is the Finance Director of Ten-Percent Legal Recruitment, managing our accounts department. She coordinates our recruitment campaigns and is often the first point of call for candidates and clients. Pearl also operates our external transcription service. Pearl joined the business in 2003.
